I loved reading this and reviewing the types of big cats that I used to enjoy reading about when I was much younger. I did not remember anything about the caracal. It was also fascinating to read about your life story! I salute your changes!
Thank you so much Betty. All feedback from fellow writers is warmly welcomed.
Some days I wonder am I mad thinking anyone will enjoy what I write - I recognise that what I am writing about is quite niche/ specialised so might not have a big audience - but I will keep trying. But oh goodness I do love cats big and small, domesticated and wild.
A very uplifting article and in large parts a hommage to all things "cats"
Beautifully written, the article and attachments will mean a lot to those who love cats and those who are fortunate to come across the article and have the pleasure in reading the article , a real treat.
I SO enjoyed reading this and learning about the beautiful big cats of the world. Is a panther the same as the black jaguar? I always thought that they were different breeds.
Top Cat was one of my favourite programmes as I wanted to live in a dustbin. I used to know the words to the theme tune.
I am definitely a cat lover rather than a dog person. My own soppy ginger boy is my wonderful companion especially as my husband works away.
Thank you for sharing the video of the young people singing Africa in gaelic. I loved the joy in their faces. Just so uplifting. I'll be humming the tune all day now.
Thank you so much for your detailed feedback Brigitte- I really appreciate this.
That’s a very good question Brigitte. black panther” is not its own species—it’s an umbrella term that covers any big cat with a black coat. A panther is defined as a melanistic color variant of other species in the Panthera genus of which both jaguars and leopards belong. It’s due to a genetic mutation.
So a black panther could be either a black jaguar or a black leopard.
Thank you Caroline, great read, so informative. 🐈💛
Thank you so much Frances - I appreciate your feedback

Thank you so much Michael- I appreciate your feedback.
Love this - I adore cats of all sizes and am always fascinated by how much like domestic cats are the mannerisms of big cats.
Aah - thanks so much Han - I am just mad about cats big and small - they can do no wrong in my eyes.
Wow! Beautiful x
Thank you so much for your feedback Marion
