This is a beautiful tribute; and well worth the read… – not only for your obvious love for your mum; but to understand how much has changed in the last century or so, economically, historically, etc. for those juggling children, household budgets….
My mum died five years ago: and she too helped raise a much younger brother, after her mum died. It always amazes me how tough her life was in so many ways, and how much of it she would just shrug off… – and it sounds like your mum was the same. Such amazing, strong, awesome women.
Thank you for this, Caroline: especially that sentence above your first photograph… – we can never have enough time with those who raised and loved us; but remembering them like this is the next best thing, I think.
I remember this - it's a lovely tribute.
Thank you - I value your feedback.
A beautifully written article and a heartfelt and moving tribute to a mum on Mother’s Day
I thoroughly enjoyed the read
Kitty is now at rest but is and will always be sorely missed by all her family
Much appreciated Michael
Lovely memories Caroline ☺️
Thank you Lucy
Sorry you’re without your mum now, Caroline. She sounds an amazing woman.
Thank you Wendy - she was.
